LID is proud to be a partner with EQNY in ensuring equality and representation for New York’s LGBTQ community.

Equality New York (EQNY) is an advocacy organization that unites the social and political voices of the LGBTQI communities throughout New York State. They work to advance equality and justice for LGBTQI New Yorkers and their families. 

The Equality New York’s Inaugural 5K is a chance to run in support of advancing the lives of all LGBTQI New Yorkers. Entrance fee is $20 and goes to EQNY. All levels welcome, run or walk at your own pace! Participate virtually or in person!

For those joining in person, we will meet on October 3rd at 11am, at Grand Army Plaza by the entrance to the park. We’ll run a loop together around Prospect Park.

If you’re joining virtually, you can complete the 5k any time between October 2nd and 11th

After we’re done we will head over to Franklin Ave for carbo-loading and drinks.
