What is the Surrogate's Court? Why do we care? Surrogates Court has jurisdiction over all probate and estate matters, in addition to guardians and conservatorships. It's our job to make sure that candidates for Surrogates Court judge are well-verse on LGBTQ issues and understand the sensitivities involving our families appearing before this important court.
