News broke last week that Brooklyn Democratic Party Leaders are trying to prevent Rep Your Block candidates from serving on the County Committee through a coordinated filing of objections across the borough, with the backing of a powerful law firm with deep ties to the party. An investigation shows that some of these objections are obviously and criminally fraudulent, with many so called “objectors” coming forward to say that their signatures had been forged. The Brooklyn Democratic Party's law chair, Anthony Genovesi, is named on all of the fraudulent objections. All objections filed by him must be reviewed and possibly thrown out due to risk of fraud, and these County Committee candidates should be allowed to serve. #DropTheObjections!
