------------------------------------------------

Samy Nemir Olivares is a queer Latinx community organizer, tenant, and democratic socialist running for the Assembly in Brooklyn's 54th District.

Samy is running because our communities have been left behind and our people deserve to have their needs met. Samy will push the state government to guarantee housing, healthcare, and education as basic rights. They're running to protect our environment, decarcerate our criminal justice system, and improve the living conditions of all working people in New York. If they win election this June, Samy will become the first openly LGBTQ Assemblymember of color in NY history.
