Mutual Aid Day of Service in Red Hook

LID_DayofService_RedHook (1).jpg

COVID19 has brought to light a huge food insecurity in New York City, and many of our neighbors do not have the physical or financial means to provide for their families. Please join us as we help out fellow Brooklyn neighbors in Red Hook with food distribution next Wednesday. We will be delivering fresh produce boxes prepared by the Red Hook Initiative and the Red Hook Relief mutual aid group to some of Brooklyn’s most vulnerable families around the neighborhood.Rules for volunteering at this event:

  • Mask and gloves required the entire time
(if you don’t have them, we will provide)

  • Staying 6 feet apart from others must be practiced at all times while volunteering.

  • Volunteers may not take public transportation to the farm site. Biking, walking, or driving is acceptable.

  • Please let us know if you need help getting to the site.

  • ⚠️ If you are exhibiting any cold or COVID19 symptoms such as a cough, fever, or shortness of breath, we ask that you do not come.

RSVP required for this event for legality

We hope you will join us in helping provide for our neighbors. See you there!
