LID Joins Organizations Across Brooklyn to Call on Campaign Finance Accountability

LID joined today with Democratic clubs and progressive organizations across Brooklyn to call on Assembly Member Felix Ortiz to address allegations that a former staffer stole from his campaign account.

The effort, lead by Sunset Park neighborhood partners, including the Sunset Park Latino Democrats, requests that Ortiz hold an open, public meeting with his constituents to address the issue.

“Embezzlement of funds undermines trust in our campaign finance system, which desperately needs reform” said LID President Jared Arader.
